Christiana Fischer of Howell has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Conn., where she is enrolled in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources.

Thomas R. Coughlin, son of T. Glen and Laura Coughlin of Manalapan, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at The College of New Jersey, Ewing, where he is studying biomedical engineering. He is a 2006 graduate of Manalapan High School.

Jaclyn Scalgione, daughter of Michael and Susan Scalgione of Manalapan, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of the Sciences, College of Pharmacy, Philadelphia, Pa., where she is enrolled in the pharmacy doctoral program. She is a 2009 graduate of the Freehold Regional High School District Medical Sciences Learning Center at Freehold High School, Freehold Borough.

Northeastern University, Boston, has named the following local students to the dean’s list for the fall semester: Sara Anderson, Laura Coyne and Jenna Pikowski, all of Freehold; Frank Marino of Howell; and Daniel Schlemovitz of Manalapan.

Lindsay Smith of Howell, a junior global studies major, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at the University of Vermont, Burlington, Vt.

Kaitlin Palmer of Englishtown has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, Pa.

Nicole Anllo of Freehold has been named to the dean’s list at Northeastern University, Boston, where she in majoring in communication studies. She is also an honors student, a highly competitive program where students must maintain a certain GPA and strong commitment to campus leadership to remain a part of the program.

Lisa M. Weiner, daughter of Bonnie and Alan Weiner of Marlboro, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at American University, Washington, D.C., where she is pursing a double major in musical theater and communications. She is a 2008 graduate of Marlboro High School.

Daniel Kaplan, son of Hope and Allan Kaplan of Manalapan, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at The College of New Jersey, Ewing, where he is majoring in forensic chemistry. He is a 2008 graduate of Manalapan High School.

Sarah Azarchi, daughter of Beverly and Steven Azarchi of the Morganville section of Marlboro, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Brandeis University, Waltham, Mass.

Toni-Marie Giordano, daughter of Donna and Leonard Giordano of Manalapan, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Monmouth University, West Long Branch, where she is an education major.

Melinda Daugherty of Freehold, a fourth-year student majoring in physical therapy, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Springfield College, Springfield, Mass.

Vadim V. Fainberg of Englishtown has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at Grinnell College, Grinnell Iowa.

David Engel, son of Mark and Barbara Engel of Colts Neck, has achieved highest honors for the fall semester at Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

Brandon Hom, son of Rubie and Rose Hom of Manalapan, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester at The College of New Jersey, School of Science, where he is a biology major. Brandon has also been invited to join the Golden Key International Honour Society, which accepts students in the top 15 percent of their class who hold a GPA of 3.7 or higher. Brandon is a 2008 graduate of the Monmouth County Academy of Allied Health and Science, Neptune.

Amanda Rosenthal, the daughter of Abbie and Mitchell Rosenthal of the Morganville section of Marlboro, has received a $5,000 scholarship from the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund, a nonprofit association consisting of influential members of the fashion community. Amanda is junior at LIM College, New York City, where she is majoring in fashion merchandising. She is a 2007 graduate of Marlboro High School.

Michelle A. Tanen, daughter of Lisa and Marvin Tanen of Marlboro, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall quarter at the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. where is majoring in economics/history. She is a 2008 graduate of Colts Neck High School.

Lafayette College, Easton, Pa., has named the following students to the dean’s list for the fall semester: Jennifer Brady and Ross Moretti, Freehold; Megan Cassidy, Allison LoBello, Meagan Regina, Manalapan; Scott Albert, Lindsay Davis and Melissa Krop, Marlboro.
