JEFF GRANIT staff Karan Adalja, an eighth-grader at the Manalapan Englishtown Middle School, explains his science project, Metabolism of Yeast, to Michael Dimino, the executive director of the Western Monmouth Utilities Authority. Students from science classes at MEMS developed a variety of science projects, which were then judged by WMUA representatives. The students who were selected as winners will be invited to tour the sewer utility's treatment facility in Manalapan.
