'Seussical' comes to Freehold Township High School FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — The Freehold Township High School Drama Club is ready to entertain all those who attend its whimsical production of "Seussical, the Musical" on March 11, 13 and 14. The curtain will rise at the high school, Elton- Adelphia Road, at 7 p.m. on March 11, 13 and 14. A matinee performance is planned for 1 p.m. March 14. The matinee will be sign-interpreted for the hearing impaired. "Seussical, the Musical" is based on the beloved tales of Dr. Seuss and will be a treat for the entire family, according to Patrick Giblin, director of the drama club. "Seussical, the Musical" follows the adventures of Horton (senior Justin Moore). Horton is an elephant who one day hears voices coming from a speck of dust. He soon discovers that within this tiny speck of dust exists the smallest planet in the universe where a tiny race of creatures known as the Whos make their home. Believing in something even though you can't see it is the theme of "Seussical," according to Giblin. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Giblin is encouraging all attendees to bring nonperishable food that will be donated to the Food Bank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. He is also asking for children's books for the Bridge of Books program. |
