Shoreshots basketball team is nationally ranked
The New Jersey Shoreshots Orange 13U boys basketball team enjoyed tremendous success this year. Consisting of local players, the Shoreshots finished sixth at the USBA (United States Basketball Association) Nationals held in North Myrtle Beach, S.C., in July.

The Shoreshots' Brandon Federici won a three-point shooting contest, and teammate Ke'shawn Rice was second, giving the local team, which plays out of Rebounds in Neptune, a one-two finish in the competition. Other highlights for the Shoreshots were a state championship in the New Jersey USBA and a third place at the state AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) tournament. The team is ranked 24th in the country in its age group.

The Shoreshots are: Gabe Nazario, Reggie Green, Drew Cors, Brandon Federici, Josh Jenkins, Jared Craddox, Josh Watckins, Norman Williams, Salam McKenzie, Rahsul Hooland, Ke'shawn Rice and Keith Kirkwood. Shawn McDermot (head coach) Ben Nazario coach the team.

The New Jersey Shoreshots Basketball Club is a registered AAU team that is devoted to the development of basketball players from the beginner to the advanced level of play. It is for boys and girls ages 9-17.
