Each band will perform its themed show beginning at 6 p.m. The bands and shows are:

On Oct. 31 from 11 a.m. to noon, the Freehold Township High School Marching Band will present its 2008-09 field show, "Crossroads of the American Revolution" at Monmouth Battlefield State Park, Route 33, Manalapan.

The students will be treated to a tour of the battlefield with a musket demonstration, then they will march out to the hedgerow where two battles took place on June 28, 1778.

Gen. George Washington stationed himself not too far from this site, according to a press release.

The band's show was conceived and inspired by the American Revolution. It featuresWashington crossing the Delaware, a slow motion battle sequence, and authentic 18th century music, marching formations, marching styles and bugle calls. The music is written by Charles Ives and William Schuman.

The concert/presentation at the hedgerow will take place between 11 a.m. and noon and is free and open to the public.
