The Italian American Association is accepting registration for Italian language classes to be held at the C. Richard Applegate School, Freehold Township, Friday evenings Oct. 10 through April 3. Lessons will be available for children age 4 and up and adults at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. An Italian conversational group for those fluent in the language will also be available. The Freehold Elks Women's Auxiliary will host a porch sale in conjunction with Freehold Borough's community yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 11 at the lodge, at 73 E. Main St., Freehold.

The Goddard School of Marlboro annual Parent Appreciation BBQ will be held at the school, 50 Route 520, Marlboro (next to Commerce Bank) on Oct. 11 from 1-4 p.m. The rain date is Oct. 12 from 1-4 p.m.

Old Tennent Church, Tennent Road, Manalapan, will host its annual Harvest Home Dinner on Oct. 11. Seatings are at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Takeouts are available.
