Center Players to present 'Driving Miss Daisy' Freehold's resident theater company, the Center Players, will present the Pulitzer Prize-winning play "Driving Miss Daisy" as its 2008 Summer Signature-Series production. The play opened on July 25 and will run for five consecutive weekends through Aug. 25. Set in mid-20th-century Atlanta, "Driving Miss Daisy" tells the story of an elderly matron, Daisy Wertham, played by Susan Schwirck, and her chauffeur, Hoke Coleburn, played by Raymond Dothard. The play will be held at the Center Playhouse, 35 South St., Freehold, on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sunday afternoons at 2 p.m. Tickets, on sale now, are $24, with discounts available for students, groups and seniors.
