• The 29th annual St. Veronica's Fair will be held from 6-10 p.m. June 25-26 and from 6-11 p.m. June 27-28 on the St. Veronica Church grounds, 4215 Route 9 north, Howell. All ages welcome.

• Center Playhouse, 35 South St., corner of South and Mechanic streets, Freehold Borough, opens its doors 7 p.m. each Kruise Nite (June 26) for free live entertainment and free refreshments. • The Italian American Association of Monmouth County will host its second annual Italian American Festival, June 26-29 at Freehold Raceway Route 9 north, Freehold. • A community luncheon will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, 118 W. Main St., Freehold, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. June 27. • A Teen Battle of the Bands in which five local teen bands will compete for prizes will be featured at the Marlboro library, Wyncrest Road, Marlboro, at 1 p.m. June 28. Teens are invited to celebrate the school year coming to a close and the beginning of a summer of reading. There is no charge to attend. • Thompson Grove Park's grand opening will be held from 3-7 p.m. June 29 on Thompson Grove Road, Manalapan. The park features walking trails, picnic areas and an 8-acre open field. There will be live music, face painting, balloon animals, food and family activities. • NBC's 'The Biggest Loser" is currently casting teams of two who want to compete together and lose weight while competing for $250,000.
