Philip J. Stryker Sr.

Mr. Stryker, 74, of Keyport, died June 9, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Before his retirement, he was a cable splicer at Atlantic Cordage, Edison. Prior to that, he was a furnace operator at Anaconda Copper, Perth Amboy. Mr. Stryker is survived by his wife of 51 years, Virginia Redfield Stryker; two sons, Eugene and Philip Stryker Jr., both Keyport; a daughter, Kathy Stryker- Anderson of Topanga, Calif.; a brother, Charles Stryker of Keyport; and three sisters, Mary Stryker of Keyport, Claire Obichowicz of Marlboro, and Theresa Poling of Keyport. Day Funeral Home, Keyport, was in charge of arrangements. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Interment was at ShorelandMemorial Gardens, Hazlet.
