High schools preparing for graduation festivities
Seniors in the six schools in the Freehold Regional High School District will celebrate a milestone in their lives when they mark their high school graduation on June 23. Ceremonies for a total of about 2,980 seniors will take place at 6 p.m. at the six FRHSD buildings.

Colts Neck High School will bid farewell to a class of 496 seniors. Invited guests include FRHSD board member Christopher Placitella, FRHSD Administrative Supervisor Nicole Hazel, Colts Neck Mayor Thomas E. Hennessy Jr., Marlboro Mayor Jonathan Hornik, Colts Neck PTO President Mary Beth Tomaro, Farmingdale Mayor John P. Morgan, Howell Mayor Joseph DiBella and Colts Neck Police Chief Kevin Sauter.

Principal Keith Land will address the class of 2008 with a speech that lists the students' achievements.

Freehold High School, Freehold Borough, is expected to graduate 333 seniors. FRHSD Assistant Superintendent Suzanne Koegler and FRHSD Board of Education member Bunny Hammer of Freehold Borough are the invited guests.

Principal Linda Jewell will discuss the talented pupils who have enriched the diversity of the school.

Freehold Township High School is preparing to say goodbye to 571 students. The guest speaker will be Juliann Bruno, the salutatorian from the class of 2003 and a Princeton University graduate. FRHSD Business Administrator Sean Boyce and FRHSD board member Tom Caiazza are the invited guests.

Principal Elizabeth Higley will recognize the school's outstanding scholars.

Howell High School will graduate a class of 537 seniors. The mayors of Howell and Farmingdale and Howell Police Chief Ron Carter are the invited guests. The FRHSD is expected to be represented by board members Ronald G. Lawson, Joan Leimbach and Kathie Lavin, and Assistant Superintendent Patricia Emmerman.

Principal Zina Duerbig will address the class of 2008 with a speech about life's journey.

Manalapan High School is expected to bid farewell to 487 seniors. The FRHSD is expected to be represented by board members Patricia Horvath and Diana Cappiello, and Assistant Superintendent Donna Evangelista.

Principal Jeff Simon will discuss the achievements the students have been able to make while experiencing so much change during their years at Manalapan High School.

Marlboro High School is expected to say goodbye to a class of 556 students. The special guest at graduation will be Mayor Jonathan Hornik. The FRHSD is expected to be represented by Superintendent of Schools James Wasser and FRHSD board member Katie Goon.

Principal Gerald North will address the class of 2008 in a speech about "graduation being a beginning to the rest of their lives and the necessity of the students realizing that they control their destiny," according to information provided by the district.
