Charles M. Truax

Mr. Truax, 86, of Shrewsbury, died May 10, 2008, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He had resided in Tinton Falls and Long Branch before relocating to Shrewsbury. Before his retirement, Mr. Truax was the general manager at Olde Union House, Red Bank. Prior to that, he was general manager at several area restaurants. He was predeceased by three brothers, Joseph, James and Stanley; and a sister, Dorothy. He is survived by his wife, Rae; four sons and three daughters-inlaw, Richard and Susan Bennett of Ocean, Charles and Rosemary Truax of Ocean, Buddy Truax of Eatontown, and Bryan and Dee Truax of Howell; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Nancy Crawford of Newark, Del.; Kathy and Matthew Jadud of Columbia Station, Ohio; and Robin and Frank Mara of Atlantic Highlands; and eight grandchildren. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Arrangements were by John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank.
