Camp Arrowhead plans golf outing

CampArrowhead,Marlboro, a branch of The CommunityYMCA,will host its annual summer golf outing at the Bella Vista Country Club,Marlboro, June 16. This year's golf event will serve to celebrate the camp's 50th anniversary as a summer day camp facility and is sponsored by Cadillac Invitational.

As a Cadillac Invitational event, all registered golfers will receive gifts and prizes, and the winning foursome will earn an invitation to the Cadillac Invitational National Finals at TPC Sawgrass in January 2009. Also at the event, Gold Coast Cadillac of Oakhurstwill provide local vehicles for players to test drive, as well as providing a holein one winning Cadillac.

Each year, The Community YMCA's summer golf outing raises funds to support scholarships for children to attend camp and participate in YMCA programs throughout Monmouth County.

According to a press release, since 1958, Camp Arrowhead has been Monmouth County's hub for campers of all ages with outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking, archery, gymnastics, horseback riding and swimming. Today the Camp Arrowhead facility serves more than 2,400 children through its nine-week summer day camp programs, offers a variety of year-round classes, teen programs and team building exercises, and also serves as a rental facility.

The 2008 summer golf outing committee includes Chairman Chris Mosley of Complete Security Systems; James R. Ientile of JRI Inc.; Chris Pak, Stewart Sussman, and Jason LaViscount of Capital One Bank; and attorney SalAlfieri.
