Scholarships for women returning to school

Applications are now being accepted for the $2,000 scholarships given by the FreeholdArea Branch of theAmericanAssociation of University of Women. The Lew Williams and Leila Sulkes scholarships are awarded to women who are at least 25 years of age and returning to college after an interruption in school attendance of at least one year.

Applicants must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program and must have completed at least 60 credits or enrolled in a graduate degree program and have completed at least one semester.All applicants must be residents of western Monmouth County and must have maintained at least a "B" average.

The winner will be introduced and presented with a check at the September meeting of the Freehold Area Branch of the AAUW.
