Parent mentors available for overwhelmed moms

Parent Mentors, a free program of the Monmouth County Division of Social Services can lend positive support to moms who are overwhelmed by the responsibilities that accompany being a mother. A mentor is an experienced mom who becomes a special friend to a newer mom. She can help find solutions to problems, find resources in the community, share parenting, budgeting and cooking skills and offer friendship.

Parent mentor volunteers are available to mothers in Monmouth County. They meet with new moms weekly at a mutually convenient time. For more information, call (732) 845-2073.
