Outdoor Adventure Expo May 18 at Turkey Swamp

Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the many outdoor recreational opportunities that abound in Monmouth County during the park system's Outdoor Adventure Expo. The eventwill take placeMay 18 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Turkey Swamp Park, Georgia Road, Freehold Township.

Area residents are invited to try out kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, and the park system's 25-foot climbingwall. The expowill feature free lectures, demonstrations,miniclinics, and nature hikes. Youngsters can compete in a fishing derby.

Members of local outdoor adventure clubs will be on hand to answer questions and give advice as well as representatives fromcompanies that sell outdoor recreation equipment.Admission and parking are free.
