Salvatore "Sal" Scavone Jr. Mr. Scavone, 61, of Sayreville, diedApril 13, 2008, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He resided in Edison prior to relocating to Sayreville 33 years ago. He and his wife co-owned Bridge Liquors, Sayreville, for 27 years, retiring in 2003. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Ronald Gaboury. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Betty Pauley Scavone; two sons and daughtersin law, David and Tammy Schmidt of the Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick, and Daniel and Jennifer Schmidt of Holly Springs, N.C.; three daughters and sons-in-law, April and Anthony Magistro of Howell, Sally- Joe and Steven Stavola ofMonmouth Junction, and Christine and Bryan Grossmann of East Brunswick; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mildred and Edward Robbins, and Annette Gaboury; a brother, Louis Scavone; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church, Sayreville. Burial followed at New Calvary Cemetery, Parlin. Arrangements were under the direction of Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin. |
