Accident injures woman

MANALAPAN- Aresident ofMarlboro was injured in a one-car accident on Tennent Road on March 6.

According to Manalapan police Capt. Louis Moreto, Gloria Lieberman, 76, was traveling north on Tennent Road in a 2007 Lexus at about 3:40 p.m. as she approached the intersection of Devon Drive North.

Moreto said Lieberman sneezed and the reaction caused her car to swerve into and through the southbound lane of Tennent Road. The vehicle ended up striking a utility pole on the west side of the road.

The captain said Lieberman suffered a compound fracture of the leg. He said the impact of Lieberman's vehicle caused the utility pole to topple and forced police to close Tennent Road for several hours while JCP&L employees repaired the damage. No charges were filed. Patrolman Dominick Donatelli Jr. was the investigating officer.
