Mary K. Valenta

Mrs. Valenta, of Howell Township, died Feb. 12, 2008, at the Manor Care Center, Freehold Township. She was 89. Mrs. Valenta was born in New York City and resided there before moving to the Freehold area in 1977. She was a bookkeeper for the Downtown Association in the City of New York for 14 years before retiring in 1984. Mrs. Valenta was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Freehold, Shewas predeceased by her husband, Charles E. Valenta, in 1969. Surviving are her three daughters, Diane Cerny, Dumont, Marie Chvatal, College Park, Md., and Cheryl Quandt,Howell Township; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the First Presbyterian Church, Freehold.
