Poster contest will focus on importance of water

The Freehold Soil Conservation District and the New Jersey Association of Conservation Districts are sponsoring the 2008 Conservation Poster Contest. This year's theme is "Water Is Life."

Students in second through 12th grade are encouraged to explore how important water is in our everyday lives - in homes, schools, farms, parks, communities, etc. - and to illustrate their ideas.

Prizes will include $100, $75 and $50 cash awards. All first-place district-level posters will be submitted to a state-level competition where one grand champion poster will be chosen and reproduced onto a pocket folder that will be distributed statewide.

Entry forms are available on the Freehold Soil Web site at www.freeholdscd. org by calling (732) 683-8500 or emailing info@freeholdscd.org. The contest entry deadline is March 14.
