Manalapan'sDanHilt, a senior atRutgers University, is wrestling at 133 pounds for the Scarlet Knights wrestling team that is coached by former JacksonMemorialHigh School coach ScottGoodale. TheKnights are 8-5 in dualmeets.

Hilt was one of Manalapan's most successful wrestlers. He was a two-time NJSIAA District 21 and Region VI champion and a three-time state place-winner finishing seventh, third and fifth.

The Freehold Borough Little League will be holding its late registration on Saturday in the Freehold Intermediate School gym on Park Avenue starting at 2:30 p.m. Children between the ages of 5- 16 are eligible for Little League ball. A birth certificate and proof of residency are needed at the time of registration. Fees range from $60-$115 and a $100 refundable work bond will also be collected. Financial assistance will be available to those who qualify.

Tryouts are also being conducted on Saturday. New Major players ages 10-12 must attend at 2:30 p.m. Minor players ages 8-9 must attend at 3:30 p.m. and optional tryouts for 7-year-olds wanting to play in the Minor League will be held at 4:45 p.m. Players must wear sneakers and bring their glove. The Manalapan Soccer Club will hold onsite open registration for the spring season on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon in the Kutchik Pavilion at the Manalapan Recreation Center. Registration can also be done online or by downloading a form, from both the club's Web site at www.ManalapanSoccerClub.com.
