Mary Whitehead

Mrs. Whitehead, 99, of Freehold Township, died Jan. 15, 2008, atApplewood Estates, Freehold Township. She was born in Hungary and had resided in Teaneck and Jamesburg before moving to Freehold Township 17 years ago. Prior to retiring in 1969, Mrs. Whitehead was employed by the Westwood-Washington Township School District as a secretary to the superintendent. She was predeceased by her husband, James Arthur Whitehead, in 1991. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and H. Curtis Meanor of Nutley; a granddaughter; and two nieces. Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of funeral arrangements, which were private.
