Nelson F. Stiles Sr.

Mr. Stiles, 78, of Monroe Township, died Jan. 20, 2008, at RiverviewMedical Center, Red Bank. Born in Summit, he resided in Springfield prior to relocating toMarlboro in 1954. He was employed for 27 years at Monmouth County Correctional Institute, Freehold, retiring as warden in 1993. He served with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers during the Korean War. He was a member of Old Brick Reforme4d Church,Marlboro. He was aMasterMason and member of Olive Branch Lodge No. 16 Free and Associated Masons, Freehold, and the Scottish Rite. He was predeceased by his wife, Marine in 2002. He is survived by a son and daughterin law, Nelson and Kim Stiles Jr. of Oceanport; three dau8ghters and one son-in-law, Donna Stiles of Monroe, Linda Stiles of Northglenn, Colo., and Debra and Raymond Gray of Freehold; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be Jan. 24 from 9:30-10:15 a.m. at Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold.Afuneral service will follow at 11 a.m. at Old Brick Church, Marlboro. Interment will follow at Old Brick Church Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, Philadelphia Unit, 3551 N. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19140.
