Suspects face drug charges
BY REBECCA MORTON Staff Writer

MARLBORO - A New York resident was arrested by Marlboro police earlier this month and charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances.

According to police documents, John Antolino, 38, of Larchmont, N.Y., was arrested Jan. 9 on Millponds Way, off Texas Road in theMorganville section of the municipality.

Found in Antolino's Jeep were various suspect substances, including a small plastic bag containing a white powder substance, a tube of Lidocaine Hydrochloride Jelly USP, two bottles of 10 ml Nalbuphine HCI (hydrochloride injection), a 10 ml bottle of testosterone cypionate, three $1 bills rolled up with an unknown white powder on them and other pills.

Lidocaine Hydrochloride Jelly USP is a topical numbing agent according to a pharmaceutical Internet Web site. The product's uses are listed as being for the "prevention and control of pain in procedures involving the male and female urethra, for topical treatment of painful urethritis, and as an anesthetic lubricant for endotracheal intubation (oral and nasal)."

The Internet Web site Daily Med describes Nalbuphine HCI as an analgesic with a potency equivalent to that of morphine on a milligram basis. The drug's use is listed for the relief of moderate to severe pain. Testosterone cypionate is a steroid injection.

Antolino was charged with possession of controlled dangerous substances, possession of drug paraphernalia with the intent to use, possession or distribution of a hypodermic syringe or needle and possession of prescription drugs.

On Jan. 16 Marlboro police charged Waleed Abouleinein, 18, of Freehold, with possession, manufacturing, distributing or dispensing a controlled dangerous substance. Abouleinein was arrested in the Cambridge Square Mall, Route 9 north, according to police. A K-9 officer was brought into the area to conduct an openair search, police said. Abouleinein was subsequently arrested.
