Bowling registration being accepted

MANALAPAN - The Manalapan Parks and Recreation Department is accepting registration for its youth bowling and adult-child bowling programs. Both programs will be held at Brunswick Country Lanes, Route 33, Manalapan.

The youth bowling program is open to Manalapan residents between the ages of 5 and 14. The program will meet weekly on Saturdays at 9 a.m. beginning Feb. 9, or on Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m. beginning Feb. 5.

The adult-child bowling program is open to Manalapan residents. Adults must be over the age of 18 and children may be between the ages of 5 and 17. The program will meet weekly on Sundays at 6 p.m. beginning Feb. 10 or on Mondays at 7 p.m. beginning Feb. 4.

The registration fee is $10 per participant or team. A weekly fee will be collected at the bowling lanes. The weekly fee for the youth program ages 5- 8 is $7 and for ages 9-17 the fee is $9.

The adult-child program's weekly fee is $14. The weekly fee includes three games of bowling (two games for ages 5- 7 in the youth program), use of rental shoes and bowling balls, instructional assistance and a trophy program. A $1 per game fee will be charged for each week missed. Each program will run for 12 weeks.

Registration for the bowling activities will be accepted at the Manalapan Parks and Recreation office, 120 Route 522, Manalapan. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. A birth certificate copy is required for youths to register. Registration must be received by Feb. 1.
