Holland to chair Planning Board

MANALAPAN - The Planning Board held its annual reorganization meeting on Jan. 10, electing new officers from among its members and appointing the board's professionals.

Richard Cohen, who served as chairman of the panel in 2007, was elected vice chairman for 2008.

Don Holland, who served as vice chairman of the board in 2007, was elected chairman for 2008.

Richard Farrell was elected secretary. Eleanor Ruggiero remains the board's administrative officer and clerk.

Attorney Daniel McCarthy, of the firm Rogut, McCarthy, of Cranford, was reappointed as the board's attorney.

Greg Valesi of CME Associates, Howell, was reappointed as the board's engineer. Richard Cramer of T&M Associates, Middletown, was reappointed as the board's planner.

The board meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of every month at the municipal building, Route 522 and Taylors Mills Road.

Mayor Michelle Roth was designated as the Township Committee's representative on the Planning Board along with Township Committeeman Richard Klauber.
