Zane T. Becker

Mrs. Becker, 89, of Howell, died Dec. 26, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in New York City and had resided in Freehold before moving to Howell 54 years ago. Prior to retiring, Mrs. Becker was employed by Precision Filaments Inc., Freehold. She was also known throughout the area as a gifted cake and candy maker. She was predeceased by her husband, John L. Becker, in 1973 and a brother, Budd Malko. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, John W. and Elizabeth Becker of Waterford, Maine, James H. and Jacqueline Becker of Pawlet, Vt., and Paul F. and Cheryl L. Becker of Bomoseen, Vt.; a brother, Charles Malko of Freehold; a sister, Ruth Accisano of Manalapan; and five grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold Township.
