Vincent A. Condon

Mr. Condon, 93, of Freehold, died Dec. 19, 2007, at home. Born in Jersey City, he had resided there before moving to Freehold in 1956. Before his retirement, Mr. Condon was a supervisor for the Garden State Parkway, Woodbridge. After his retirement, he was a messenger for Central Jersey Bank, Freehold. He had also previously been a self-employed retail store owner before his Garden State Parkway employment. Mr. Condon was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Freehold Council No. 1673. He was predeceased by two sisters and six brothers; a son, Robert Vincent Condon, in 1986; and a daughter, Carol A. Johnson, in 2004. Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Evelyn Brudnicki Condon; a son, John Condon; a daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen and Robert Rathschmidt; a son-in-law, Linus A. Johnson; a daughter-in-law, Catherine Condon; a brother, Edward Condon of Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
