Hall of Fame inductees named

FREEHOLD - The members of the Freehold High School Hall of Fame have selected the third group of honorees to be inducted. The 2008 inductees are Freehold High School graduates who have distinguished themselves in a variety of fields (excluding athletics) and have proven themselves to be positive role models to current students.

The 2008 honorees are: Warren "Porky" Prest, founder of Old Monmouth Candy Company; Mark Hoebee, choreographer; Jeff Keller, actor; Nicey Russell, humanitarian; Walter Earle, businessman/ philanthropist; David T. Buck, founder of Buck Engineering Co.; Dr. James Klaunig, professor of toxicology; Dr. Bernard Zilbergeld, psychologist; and former state Sen. John O. Bennett III, politician.

Also to be honored are the latest inductees into the Quarter Century Club, staff members with 25 or more years of service to Freehold High School. The 2008 honorees are: Paul Ternosky, Eileen Crawford, Charles Nelson, Elaine Buono, Charles Ray, Arthur Hanley, Edward Shakespeare, Elizabeth Jehle, Louis DiTommaso and Dennis Tave.

A banquet will be held on April 17 at the Battleground Country Club, Manalapan.
