Italian American Assoc. to host festival in June

The Italian American Association (IAA) of Monmouth County will host its second annual Italian American Festival June 26, 27, 28 and 29 at Freehold Racetrack, Route 9 north, Freehold Township. Admission and parking are free. The festival will feature rides, games, auction prizes, face painting, crafters, Italian novelities, car show, entertainment, bocce tournament, strolling Italian minstrels, fireworks and Italian food.

Applications are being accepted for vendors.

The IAA is going into its fourth year of existence and has over 200 members. The organization, open to people age 21 and older, offers scholarships to the community and its members, Italian lessons, cooking lessons and hosts cultural and social events. Meetings will take place 7:30 p.m. May 28 at Basile's Restaurant, Park Avenue, Freehold, and 7:30 p.m. June 18 at DellaSolla Restaurant, 32 W.
