Eric E. Levinson

Mr. Levinson, 25, of Howell, died Dec. 1, 2007, at home. Born in New Brunswick, he was a lifelong resident of Howell. Mr. Levinson graduated from Freehold Township High School and Rowan University, Glassboro, where he was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity. He was a former lifeguard for the Manasquan Beach Patrol and a former substitute teacher in the Freehold Borough elementary schools. Most recently, he was a physical education teacher at Mercer Arts Charter High School in Trenton. He was also a track and field official for the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association. Surviving are his parents, Debra and Dennis Levinson of Howell; a brother, Shawn Levinson of Howell; his maternal grandparents, Olga and Edward Janoski of Sarasota, Fla.; his paternal grandmother, Beatrice Friedman of Freehold; and two aunts and uncles, Carol and Jack Carra of Sarasota, and Evelyn and Michael Levinson of Israel. A memorial service was held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Interment was private. Memorial donations may be made to the Monmouth County SPCA, 260 Wall St., Eatontown, NJ 07724.
