R. Sperry

Mr. Sperry, 80, of Point Pleasant, died Nov. 30, 2007, at Monmouth Care Center, Long Branch. He was born in Freehold and had lived in Brielle before moving to Point Pleasant. Prior to retiring in 1989, Mr. Sperry was an electrician for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local No. 400, Wall Township. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, as well as a volunteer for the Disabled American Veterans of Monmouth and Ocean counties. Surviving are his wife, Marsha; two sons, John Gorbich of Freehold and Scott Sperry of Ocean Grove; a daughter, Tracey Bos of Chesapeake, Va.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Olga D'Lia of Spring Lake, and Mary and Tom Kasprzak of Pine Beach; and three grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.
