Friendship circle offers activities during break

Local children with special needs who enjoy the social and educational events of the Ari Kraut Friendship Circle will now be able to participate in the program's new winter camp. For the first time, a threeday fun-filled program will be offered to youngsters ages 5 through 15 during the winter break.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 25-27, the participants will be engaged in a social experience that will include activities, games and trips in a relaxed and safe atmosphere.

Professional therapists will assist the children in karate, yoga, cooking, and music and art therapy. In addition, there will be daily field trips in a wheelchair-accessible bus to the Jewish Children's Museum in Crown Heights, Brooklyn; Pump It Up!, in Marlton; and a local rock-climbing outing at Garden State Rocks, Morganville. Volunteers will be on hand to assist the children during the three days of activities.
