Barbara Hansen

Mrs. Hansen, 75, of Freehold, died Oct. 31, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Rahway and had resided in Keyport and Matawan before moving to Freehold in 1965. A graduate of Keyport High School, Mrs. Hansen was employed at Van's Freehold Inn from 1970 to 1989. She was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Freehold. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Sirius Chapter No. 123, Matawan, and a volunteer at CentraState Medical Center's thrift shop. Mrs. Hansen was predeceased by her husband, Peter W. Hansen, in 2002 after 52 years of marriage. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Peter and Kathy Hansen of Delran, Patrick and Margee Hansen of Freehold, and Paul and Laurie Hansen of Liberty, Mo.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Penny and Paul Ketcham and Pamela and Edward Temple, all of Freehold; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements, which were private, were under the direction of Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold.
