Special event will benefit Howell mom A night of shopping, food, fun, drinks and more will be held on Dec. 7. According to a press release, Lori Newman is a Howell mom who was recently diagnosed with Reflex Systematic Disorder. Newman has four children. Her friends are hosting a benefit to help with her medical and living expenses. Since she has been diagnosed she can not work, drive, do laundry, or any of the things most people take for granted. Newman's favorite pastime is baking, so this event will be a cookie swap like no other. Guests are asked to bring some cookies to share and a recipe as well. A recipe book for Lori will be created. The event will be held from 6-10 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Southard Firehouse, Route 9 north, Howell. Admission of $15 includes meal, wine, soda, coffee, dessert, prizes, and more. Various at home vendors will be on hand, including Partylite, Tastefully Simple, Discovery Toys, Avon, Premier Jewelers, Home and Garden, Southern Living, The Body Shop, Passion Parties, Armour Cosmetics, Tupperware, They Grey Dove, and Shari's Handbags. Call Melissa (732) 857-7507 to reserve a ticket. All reserved ticket holders will receive a special prize. |
