Kate "Kitty" Kersen

Mrs. Kersen, of Freehold, died Nov. 2, 2007, at The Brookside Assisted Living Community, Freehold. Born in Bayonne, she had lived in Union for many years before moving to Freehold 20 years ago. Mrs. Kersen was a secretary for the Kramer Body & Equipment Co., Hillside. She was predeceased in 1973 by her husband of 25 years, Elbert Kersen. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Jean Kersen of Randolph; two daughters and sonsin law, Ilene and Lester Kornblum of Manalapan, and Bonni and Harvey Segal of Philadelphia; a brother and sister-in-law, Alexandra and Jan Biel of Boynton Beach, Fla.; and seven grandchildren. Services were held at Bloomfield-Cooper Jewish Chapels, Manalapan, followed by interment at B'nai Abraham Memorial Park, Union. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
