Auditions will be held for special arts schools Audition applications are available for students in grades six through 12 to apply for the Monmouth County Arts High School and Arts Middle School programs. The program provides a wide range of accelerated classes to gifted and talented children in creative writing, dance, vocal music, instrumental music, theater arts, visual arts and photography. Children must audition each year to continue in the program. Those children who are accepted are released from their school one afternoon each week, during regular class hours, to attend the classes, which are held at a central location in Monmouth County. Tuition and transportation are paid by the participating school districts. The registration deadline has been extended to Nov. 30. Auditions are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Dec. 8 at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft. Registration is required.
