For the Record

Manalapan Township Committeewoman Susan Cohen, who was running to retain her seat on the Township Committee in the Nov. 6 election, said at an Oct. 24 debate among the candidates that while she is in favor of the expansion of the Manalapan Recreation Center, she believes that the installation of a synthetic turf field that was approved as part of the recreation center expansion project should have been put on hold pending a further investigation of any possible health issues linked to synthetic turf fields. Cohen's position on the expansion of the recreation center was misstated in an article about the debate that appears in the Oct. 31 edition of the News Transcript.
