Josephine J. Guinee

Mrs. Guinee, 89, of Farmingdale, died Oct. 23, 2007, at home. Born in Perth Amboy, she was a lifelong area resident. She and her husband had owned and operated Tom's Tavern in Farmingdale since 1960. Mrs. Guinee was an animal lover who rescued animals that no one wanted. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas C. Guinee, in 2006. Surviving are a sister, Evelyn Warienchuck of Bridgewater; a brother, John Mondak of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 3 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2900 West Bangs Ave., Neptune. Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, is in charge of arrangements. Bernard J. Fiorentino

Mr. Fiorentino, 82, of Howell, died Oct. 10, 2007, at home. He was born in Orange, Essex County, and had lived in the Robertsville section of Marlboro for more than 30 years before moving to Howell in 1991. Prior to retiring in 1988, Mr. Fiorentino was a tool and die maker with the RCA Space Center, Hightstown, for 27 years. He was a petty officer second class in the U.S. Navy during World War II and served in the European theater. Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Louise A. Fiorentino; six sons, Bernard Fiorentino Jr. of Freehold, Thomas Fiorentino of Toms River, James Fiorentino of York, Pa., Rodger Fiorentino of Jackson, Ted Fiorentino of Sayreville and Louis Fiorentino of Howell; two daughters, Lynn Snyder of Linden and Rose Marie Manek of Manalapan; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & Mc- Girr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.

Clyde Lawrence Boyce

Mr. Boyce, 65, of Marlboro, died Oct. 9, 2007, at St. Michael's Medical Center, Newark. Born in Colts Neck, he was a lifelong resident of Marlboro and a graduate of Freehold High School, Freehold Borough. Prior to retiring in 2004, Mr. Boyce worked for the Marlboro Township Road Department for 25 years. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He was a member of Robertsville Volunteer Fire Company No. 1, Morganville section of Marlboro, for the past 28 years, where he had previously served as a commissioner and a lieutenant. He was also a deputy district warden of the N.J. Forest Fire Service, Section 10, for more than 20 years. In addition, he was a member of the Deep Search Metal Detecting Club of East Brunswick. Surviving are his wife, Shirley; a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Wendy Boyce of Morganville; a daughter, Dawn Boyce of Englishtown and her companion, Steve Forgus; three brothers and their wives; Allen and Margaret Boyce of Howell, William and Joanne Boyce of Underhill, Vt., and Brett and Christine Boyce of Marlboro; and a sister and her husband, Sandi and Henry Daugherty of Canterbury, N.H. A funeral service was held at Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan. Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St., Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.

Rose Marie Sciarappo

Mrs. Sciarappo, 74, of Freehold, died Oct. 19, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in Bradley Beach and Lakewood before moving to Freehold in 2005. Mrs. Sciarappo was an assembler at Air Cruisers, Wall Township. She was predeceased by a brother, Earl Hayden. Surviving are two sons, Jon Sciarappo and Louis Sciarappo Jr.; a daughter, Linda Catananzi; a brother, Joseph Hayden; four sisters, Millie, Dot, Florence and Joan; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Interment was private.

Florence M. Lau

Mrs. Lau, 92, of Matawan, died Oct. 10, 2007, at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge division. Born in Jersey City, she was a lifelong resident before relocating to Matawan recently. She was a former communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jersey City. She was predeceased by her husband, William, in 1977. She is survived by two sons and daughters in-law, John and Carole of Great Falls, Va., and William and Camille of Jackson; a daughter and son-pin-law, Joan and Richard Kopps of Manalapan; nine grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Aloysius Church. Interment was at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Arrangements were by Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan.

Elaine M. Cupo

Mrs. Cupo, 63, of Jackson, died Oct. 10, 2007, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born and raised in Manhattan, N.Y., she had lived in the Stapleton section of Staten Island, N.Y., before moving to Freehold Township in 1975. She relocated to Jackson in 2006. Mrs. Cupo was a Realtor with ERA Advantage Realty, Freehold Township, for the past 20 years and also coowned Monmouth Gymnastics Academy, Morganville section of Marlboro, with her daughter. Prior to that, she was a registered nurse for the Monmouth County Organization for Social Service (or MCOSS, now the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey), Freehold and Red Bank, and had worked as a legal secretary in Staten Island. Mrs. Cupo was a volunteer for Relay for Life, Freehold. She was predeceased in April 1994 by her husband, Nicholas J. Cupo Jr., and in 1981 by her mother, Mercedes Febles. Surviving are a daughter, Karen Bianchino of Jackson; her father and his wife, Charles and Joan Febles of Toms River; a niece, Tara Cupo of Howell; and three grandchildren. A funeral service was held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township. Interment was private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury, NJ 07702-4201.

Beatrice D. Rizzo

Mrs. Rizzo, 68, of Freehold Township, died Oct. 13, 2007, at home. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had lived in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn before moving to Freehold Township in 2004. Prior to retiring in 2003, Mrs. Rizzo was the executive secretary to the commissioner of the New York City Housing Authority, Manhattan, N.Y., for five years. She was a parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township, and a former member of the Italian Board of Guardians Inc., Brooklyn, a nonprofit social services agency. Surviving are her husband, Robert C. Rizzo; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lorraine and John Giordano of Holbrook, N.Y., and Valerie and Michael Wechsler of Manalapan; a brother, Thomas DiNardo of Staten Island, N.Y.; and three grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, followed by entombment at Maplewood Cemetery Mausoleum, Freehold Township. The Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.

Philip J. Maggio

Mr. Maggio, 81, of Manalapan, died Oct. 11, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and had resided in Marlboro for the past nine years. Prior to retiring in 1989, Mr. Maggio was a mechanic for the Brooklyn Union Gas Co. for 32 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Lucy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Santo and Carol Maggio of Naples, Fla., and Charles and Rose Maggio of Old Tappan, Bergen County; a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and John Bocchino of Old Bridge; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, followed by interment at Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville section of Marlboro. Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home, Manalapan, was in charge of arrangements.

Philip Louis De Francisco

Mr. De Francisco, 85, of Freehold, died Oct. 11, 2007, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Jersey City, he had resided in Rutherford and Old Bridge before moving to Freehold. Mr. De Francisco was a bus operator for NJ Transit and an aircraft dispatcher for World Airways prior to retiring. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II aboard the USS Samuel Huntington and the USS James Gordon Bennett in North Africa, Italy (Palermo, Sicily), the British Isles and Murmansk, Russia. Mr. De Francisco was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) N.J. Turnpike Post 184, Kearny; the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter No. 9, Union City; the National Rifle Association; the Free and Accepted Masons, Garibaldi Lodge No. 542 of New York City and Olive Branch Lodge No. 16 of Freehold; the AARP; the Silvermead Community Club, Freehold Township; and Volunteer and Guest Services at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was predeceased by his wife, Jennie, in 1979. Surviving are a daughter, Marie Anne De Francisco of Brick; two sons, Charles of Leicester, N.C., and Philip Jr. of Freehold and his companion, Gale Staneck; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Cassidy; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Freeman Funeral Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.

Margaret Narozanick

Mrs. Narozanick, 88, of Freehold, died Oct. 12, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Matawan and had resided in Englishtown before moving to Freehold in 1965. She was a graduate of Matawan High School and Drake Business School, Perth Amboy. Mrs. Narozanick was employed by Brookdale Community College, Lincroft section of Middletown, when the school first organized. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold, as well as a former member of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post No. 4374 Ladies Auxiliary, Freehold, and the Federated Women's Republican Club. Surviving are her husband of 65 years, former Freeholder Theodore J. Narozanick; a daughter, Carol Ann Vineyard of Manchester Township; three grandsons, Scott Cranmer of Jackson, Craig Cranmer of Beachwood and David A. Cranmer of North Hanover Township; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. James P. O'Halloran

Mr. O'Halloran, 59, of Freehold Township, died Oct. 12, 2007, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in Jersey City and had lived in Bayonne before moving to Freehold Township 24 years ago. Prior to retiring six years ago, Mr. O'Halloran was an accountant for Lucent Technologies, Warren, for 35 years. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. He was predeceased by his parents, James P. and Marion Miller O'Halloran, as well as a sister, Marion Kearse. Surviving are his wife, Celeste Prata O'Halloran; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Kevin O'Malley of Freehold Township; two sons, Michael J. O'Halloran of San Diego and Davin J. O'Halloran of Jersey City; a brother, Roger O'Halloran of Bayonne; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Patricia Torraco of Franklin Lakes, and Maureen and Matty McLoone of Holmes Beach, Fla.; and two grandsons. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, was in charge of arrangements.
