Manalapan announces new leaf collection rules

As per Manalapan Township ordinance, all leaves must now be placed in biodegradable paper bags. Leaves placed in plastic bags will not be picked up from the curb or accepted at the Public Works yard.

The biodegradable bags can be purchased at the Public Works Department Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at a cost of $2 for a bundle of five. They may also be purchased from local retailers. For further details, call (732) 446- 8303.
