Manalapan candidate's position on recreation project clarified

Manalapan Township Committeewoman Susan Cohen, who is running to retainher seat on the Township Committee in the Nov. 6 election, said at an Oct. 24 debateamong the candidates that while she is in favor of the expansion of the Manalapan Recreation Center, she believes that the installation of a synthetic turf field that wasapproved as part of the recreation center expansion project should have been put onhold pending a further investigation of any possible health issues linked to syntheticturf fields.
