Late mayor's daughter offended by political piece
My family moved to Marlboro in 1969. I was raised there. It is rich in history. When I was a little girl we studied the Lenape Indians and the Revolutionary War. Things of Marlboro's past.

Most of my family remains there to this day. My brother, wanting the same things for his family as our parents, has chosen to raise his family there. It is home.

Two years ago when my father passed away, Mayor Robert Kleinberg (whom I have never met) closed the municipal offices, lowered the flag outside and afforded him full police honors out of respect to him. I thought this was an appropriate response to a colleague's passing.

Two days ago I was appalled and disgusted to read that Mr. Kleinberg had distributed a political piece in an attempt to besmirch my late father's reputation. I venture to write that if my father were still with us today, no such propaganda would have been passed around.

My father is the late Saul Hornik, three-term mayor of Marlboro. Mayor Kleinberg, shame. Shame on you.
