Local artist's photos on exhibit
An exhibition at the Academy of Music, Main Street, Spotswood, features the photography of Glenna Rosenberg.

Rosenberg, a resident of the Morganville section of Marlboro, is a selftaught photographer and has been working as such professionally for three years.

Fifteen of Rosenberg's works are on display. Most are in color and focus on landscapes of sunsets or fall foliage.

"My goal and passion is to be able to capture the moments in time that we often miss," Rosenberg said. "My photos should speak to your heart and leave you with priceless moments that will last for lifetimes to come."

Academy director Melody Blasenheim said she is moved by the intimacy in the photographs.

"It makes one stop and think of those special moments in our lives that we miss and hope to recapture again. Mrs. Rosenberg has accomplished this beautifully," Blasenheim said.

Rosenberg is a member of Celebrating Adoption, an organization of photographers who donate their time to children who are adopted. She is currently working on a photography collection of siblings of multiple births (twins, triplets).

Gallery curator Kevan Lunney noted that Rosenberg has a successful business photographing relaxed and spontaneous portraits of children, taken in natural light, but for this exhibition she wanted to show her landscapes, which she said have a more universal appeal.

"The same sensitivity that she displays with children is also evident in the late summer and early autumn landscapes that will be shown at the Academy," Lunney said.

The show will run through Jan. 4. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
