Four charged in boro beating FREEHOLD - Four Freehold Borough men were arrested following an altercation at the Parker House Condominiums on Broad Street at 11:15 p.m. Sept. 3. According to Freehold Borough Police Lt. Glenn Roberts, police responded to a report of a disturbance at the complex. When officers Steven Cicero, Keith Bailey and Diego Flores arrived at the location, Roberts said everyone who had been involved in the disturbance began to flee the scene. Detective Daniel Heulitt also responded to the condominium complex. Upon investigation, police officers found two Hispanic males, ages 46, and 32, who were later determined to be brothers, lying on the ground seriously injured. The men were transported to CentraState Medical Center for treatment of their wounds. "There have been ongoing problems with [the two brothers] and a group of other young men," Roberts said. He explained that four men who were charged in the incident came to the complex and "jumped one of the brothers due to an earlier incident involving damage to one of the victim's cars." Roberts said that after seeing his brother being assaulted, the second brother came to his rescue and become involved in the altercation. He said they were "beaten unrecognizable with sticks, pipes and axe handles." According to Roberts, one victim had an injured arm and lacerations to his face. The other victim had bruises and a swollen face. Charges of aggravated assault (two counts), unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, disorderly conduct and obstruction of the administration of the law were lodged against John Amador, 18, of Freehold Borough. Amador was taken to the Monmouth County jail, Freehold Township, in default of $90,000 bail. Charged with one count each of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, disorderly conduct and obstruction of the administration of the law were George Cuevas, 20, David Cuevas, 18, and Jason James, 19, all of Freehold Borough. They were all taken to the Monmouth County jail in default of $60,000 bail each. |
