Temple Beth Ahm offers courses Oct. 18, 11:30 a.m. - Lunch and Learn, a discussion of contemporary issues of interest to the Jewish community. Topics are drawn from newspaper and magazine articles, and suggestions from participants. Lunch may be purchased or participants may bring their own bag lunch (dairy only). On Oct. 18 the Lunch and Learn program is hosting a trip to the Jewish Museum in New York City. Limited seating is available and advance reservations are required. Contact the temple office at (732) 583-1700 to make a reservation. The Lunch and Learn sessions are open to the entire community and not limited to temple members. The price for purchasing lunch is $4 for Temple Beth Ahm members and $6 nonmembers. Oct. 22, 7:30 p.m., Hebrew For Beginners. Participants may begin to learn one of the oldest languages that is currently in use and the language that is a common thread among all of Judaism. This course requires no prior knowledge of Hebrew. This class will meet Monday nights through mid-December, except for when there is a holiday. The course is open to the entire community and is not limited to temple members.
