Line-dancing classes offered to senior citizens

Free line-dancing classes are being offered to members of the Manalapan Senior Center starting on Monday, Sept. 10. Classes will be held on Mondays from 11 a.m. to noon and are taught by dance instructor Leslie Clare. Clare teaches line dancing at several senior centers throughout Monmouth County and is looking forward to working with the Manalapan seniors. Elaine McNamara, director of the Manalapan Senior Center, is excited at the prospect of offering a fun, new class to the members who have expressed an interest in learning how to line dance.

Several months ago, the Manalapan Senior Center was offered a financial contribution from local businesses interested in supporting a program at the center.

Manalapan businesses that have collectively supported the new program are: Adonis Men's Spa, Bagel World, Bus Tickets, Carlo's Pizza, Fresh Petals, Glen's Eye Care, Jem Jewelers, La Ritz Cleaners, Mixed Greens, Panda House and Video Home Center, all located at the Bagel World Shopping Center, 356 Route 9 north, Manalapan.

For more information, call the Manalapan Senior Citizen Center at 9732) 446-8401.
