Spice Queen extended her 2007 winning streak to seven when she won the $26,800 opening leg of the New Jersey Sire Stakes for 3-year-old trotting fillies on Thursday at Freehold Raceway. In a wire-to-wire performance, the daughter of Yankee Glide won by 3½ lengths in 2:00.1. David Miller was in the bike.

Keystone Celeste, also a daughter of Yankee Glide, won the first $27,400 division of NJSS in 1:58.2 for owner/driver/trainer Todd Schadel. She has won six of her 12 starts this year.

The Northeast Regional Invitational Tournament will be held Sept. 22 and 23, beginning at 8 a.m. each day and will be held at two of the ball fields at the NWS Earle Colts Neck facility.

Form for tournament play will be a division play with a guarantee of three games for the first round, and single elimination for the second round.
