Freehold Township police charged Joseph William Connolly, 47, of Keansburg, with possession of a controlled dangerous substance believed to be cocaine following a motor vehicle stop at Route 537 and Randolph Road at 5:09 p.m. July 9. Police initially reported incorrectly that Frank Connolly, 59, of Keansburg, had been charged with that offense. Police said on July 24 that Frank Connolly was not charged.
