4-H arts camp will be held at Camp Nomoco

The Monmouth County 4-H Arts Camp will be held from 11 a.m. Aug. 24 to noon Aug. 26 at Camp Nomoco, Turkey Swamp Park, Freehold Township. Youths in grades K-12 can register for the entire weekend with a sleepover in wooden platform tents, or can attend on a daily basis for one or more days. Cost is $15 for the entire weekend and $5 for single days.

Activities to be offered throughout the weekend include drama, puppetry, music, movement, art, writing and more. Campers will share their talents in nightly reviews and campfire gatherings. Teen leadership camp counselor opportunities are available. 4-H camp promotes friendships and positive self-esteem. No prior creative arts experience necessary. Deadline for registration is Aug. 17th.

Registration opens for

nursery school classes

Tennent Co-operative Nursery School, Manalapan, announces its open enrollment period for its preschool and prekindergarten enrichment programs for the 2007-08 school year. The 12-week programs focus on a variety of disciplines including reading, math and science. Tuition is $84 per child for preschool programs and $225 per child for the pre-kindergarten program.
