Selection of new police chief in Freehold draws praise

The selection of Mitch Roth as the new chief of the Freehold Borough Police Department is worthy of praise. Throughout his long career, Officer Roth has shown the ability to deal professionally with all segments of the diverse Freehold Borough community.

In his dealings with the immigrant community, Officer Roth has always been respectful and dignified.

We look forward to his continued service to Freehold Borough.

At the same time, the Latino Leader-ship Alliance wishes to praise his predecessor, Chief Michael Beierschmitt, for a job well done. Both men have served the borough well.
