On Campus

Christopher Konecny of Freehold, doctor of pharmacy, has graduated from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, Conn., completing the six-year PharmD program. During his six years, he has been honored with dean's list recognition, received the Louis Licamele Memorial Scholarship, the Henry A. Palmer Scholarship presented by the Connecticut Pharmacists Association, and the CVS Academic Scholarship. He was actively involved in many pharmacy professional organizations and associations. He has accepted a residency position at St. Louis Children's Hospital, St. Louis, Mo., to further his studies in becoming a clinical pharmacist in pediatric oncology. Konecny is a 2001 graduate of Freehold Township High School.

Johnson & Wales University, Providence, R.I., has named the following local students to the dean's list for the fall semester: Rachel Beletz and Anthony Mondi, both of Englishtown; Amanda Moriarty, Jeffrey Neely, Krysten Santos, Michael Rizzo and Kristin Canto, all of Freehold; Nicole Iuzzolino, Alexander Black, Vanessa Smith and Megan Coleman, all of Howell; Jamie Bonfiglio, Brett Pluska-lowski and Corey Silverstein, all of Manalapan; and Caitlyn Nuss, Jennifer Lilonsky and Michael Feinberg, all of Marlboro.

Erin O. Stattel of Marlboro received an award for excellence in writing and journalism from the communications department of Monmouth University, West Long Branch, at the annual banquet held in April. She is a senior pursuing a bachelor's degree in communications with a minor in sociology.
